I’m recommending this place to everyone I know and reviewing on several apps!!! And the FOOD PEOPLE!!! HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD MY LIFE HAS BEEN CHANGED FOREVER!!! I have never had Mofongo, it was my first time trying, and Samary made me feel like I was in Puerto Rico without going to Puerto Rico!!! First off there’s not many Puerto Rican restaurants in Broward so El Bayu de Wela Sara is a gem! Our waitress Martha was great! I’m glad she recommended the PinaCoquito drink! It’s the best! They bring the flavors, culture, music, & food of PR. ???????? As a Puerto Rican I can tell you the food is made with season, spice, & flavor! The beef empanadas some of the best I had! 5/5 ⭐ Pinacolda/Coquito 5/5 ⭐ rice & beans 5/5 ⭐ The restaurant is in a nice location, clean & beautiful art work with spanish music playing. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

As Puerto Ricans visiting from New Jersey, after trying so many great food spots in Florida, we wanted a real taste of our island — and this place did not disappoint! The food was amazing, full of authentic flavor, and reasonably priced. Our waiter was very personable and gave excellent recommendations. Every bite brought us right back to Puerto Rico. This will definitely be our go-to spot every time we’re in the Fort Lauderdale area! Wepaaaa
Martha our waiter was very informative and friendly. She gave us great suggestions and explained each entree we were interested in. Food was out fast and just as she described “ So GOOD” . We had a Passion Fruit Mojito and Coconut Mojito. Both were very good. AC was on blast, restroom was clean.
The customer service here is amazing! We ordered the fresh lemonade and it tasted like they were literally squeezing the lemons right in the back, so refreshing and natural. We also had the mango mojito, and oh my gosh, you can really taste the mango. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a mango tree in the kitchen! The food itself was just as impressive, the flavors and textures were spot on. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes and will update my review when I do.

I ordered the bacalaitos to start and the stuffed mofongo special with a tamarind juice. The food was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, the staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere felt so welcoming. You can tell they put a lot of love into their food.
